Mzuzu University students are today holding demonstrations in the city of Lilongwe demanding President Lazarus Chakwera to intervene on the issue of their graduation.
The graduation ceremony which was slated for December 2019, saw only few students graduating with others left out as management said it was following Covid19 restrictions.
Today, the students say they are facing challenges as employers cant give them jobs as they do not have professional credentials to show.
The group is therefore calling on president Chakwera in his capacity as Chancellor of Universities of Malawi to direct Mzuzu University management to hold a graduation ceremony for them before 25th December, 2020.
The students are currently marching to Capital Hill in Lilongwe to present a petition on the matter.
