Police in Karonga have detained two people for questioning in connection to the murder of a Chinese couple on November, 9, 2020.
According to a statement signed by National Spokesperson James Kadadzera the two are Stambuli Said, 48, of Malema 1 village, T/A Kyungu in Karonga district and Jimmy James Nyirenda, 29, of Luhimbo village, T/A Kyungu in Karonga district.
The Chinese couple Ji Guihua, 38, and Liao Wanghui,37, were killed by unknown people in their LWH Investment Shop.
The two were operating a retail shop in the district.
Kadadzera further added that investigations are still underway and invited those that might have information regarding the murder of the couple to bring forth the evidence.
