The Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) is lobbying the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to swiftly probe and prosecute various cases of corruption and abuse of office that are on its table.

It follows the HRDC’s recent filing of a letter requesting the ACB to investigate allegations of fraud and irregular executive influence in the dealings of the then Malawi Enterprise Development Fund (MEDF).

The allegations gathered through the HRDC’s whistle-blower initiative implicate the re-branded National Economic Empowerment Fund’s CEO Mervis Mangulenje and other top executive management officials.
