News coming in Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Prophetess Mary Bushiri are expected to appear before Lilongwe Magistrate Court for bail application hearing.
This comes after the couple handed themselves over to police following an arrest warrant the Malawi Police received from International Police (Interpol) in South Africa.
Confirming the arrest of the couple, National Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera said the couple was at Malawi Police headquarters in Lilongwe, Area 30 where they were being questioned.
The couple fled South Africa and arrived in the country on Wednesday saying they felt unsafe in the Rainbow Nation.
Bushiri and his wife are answering charges of fraud and money laundering in South Africa.
Before they left South Africa, the two were just released out on bail after spending over to weeks in police custody and had their travelling documents taken away from them.
