Dust is refusing to settle for Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) church following latest reports that four lawyers have stopped representing him.
The four lawyers are Allan Chinula SC, Lusungu Gondwe, Khumbo Soko and Noel Chalamanda.
Lawyer Wapona Kita has confirmed that he is now the only legal counsel representing the Bushiri and his wife Mary.
Bushiri and his wife handed themselves to Area 30 police headquarters on Wednesday morning, a week after fleeing South Africa where he is being hunted for money laundering and fraud.
Major 1 is expected to appear before the Lilongwe Magistrate Court for bail.
Meanwhile the South African government has forfeited Bushiri’s residence worth R5.5 million which is equivalent to over Mk200, 000 million.
