Students who sat for the annulled 2020 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination have been advised to report back to their respective schools on December 28, 2020

The development follows President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s directive that the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MoEST) in conjunction with
MANEB should re-administer the annulled 2020 MSCE examination not later than January.

This has been confirmed in a statement released on November 22, 2020 signed Secretary in the Ministry of Education Chikondano C. Mussa seen by this publication.

According to the statement, MSCE students will not be required to pay examination fees as per tradition.

“No student will be required to pay Examination Fees as this cost will be shouldered by Government.

“The costs of all practical examinations will be shouldered by Government. As such no school shall demand fees for practicals from students,” read in part the statement.

The Ministry has also directed that all newly selected form 1 students to report for Schools on 1st February, 2021, after the Form four students finish their examinations.
