A legal critic has tipped the government to stick to due processes of the law regarding the extradition of self-acclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri.
Bushiri and his wife Mary jumped bail and sneaked out of South Africa while answering theft, fraud and money laundering charges.
South African authorities announced last week that they would be filing necessary extradition documents to their Malawian counterparts in the next couple of weeks.
Last week, a court in the capital Lilongwe released the couple unconditionally after they had handed themselves over to the Malawi police a day earlier.
