The Judge bribery case involving well-known businessman Thom Mpinganjira, devoted Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) member has been adjourned to Friday, November 27, 2020.

The case was adjourned on Tuesday after the state paraded the fourth witness in the name of Judge Redson Kapindu who was among the panel of five Judges sitting as constitutional court which handled the Presidential polls case.

In his testimony on Tuesday at the High Court in Blantyre, Kapindu said he has never met or interacted with Mpinganjira before. He said he recognised Mpinganjira’s voice because in his conversation with Judge Mike Tembo through the audio that was played, Tembo was being definitive.

Kapindu further said that collectively as a panel of the judges, they had to deliberate on how they could have handled the matter in as far as reporting the matter to the ACB was concerned.

The next to testify in the case is Judge Ivy Kamanga and ACB investigators.
