Police in Mponela have arrested four people in connection with a series of theft and breaking offences in a special round-up operation where some stolen electronic equipment have been recovered.
Mponela police spokesperson, Inspector Kaitano Lubrino, confirmed of the development in interview with the press and identified the suspects as Lington John, 20, Chipiriro Chipengule Shuga, 26, Ulemu Chisale Tholomani, 19, and Maulidi Chipengule, 23.
According to Lubrino, all the suspects hailed from Traditional Authority Mponela in Dowa.
Lubrino said the suspects will appear in court soon.
Some of the recovered items include;Plasma TV screens, mobile phones, home theatre, batteries, solar panel and other valuable accessories.
