As the world is commemorating 16 Days of Activism for no violence against women and children, three women who are accusing leader and founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) of raping them, have voiced out weeks after Bushiri left the country for Malawi.
The three women, made the revelations that Bushiri had raped them when they visited his Church in Pretoria for prayers through one of the local media Houses in the country ETV.
One of Bushiri’s alleged rape victim told ETV that Bushiri was staring at her during a church service and sometimes stood next to her when delivering sermons not long after the lady alleged that she received an invitation from the Prophet to meet him at the hotel so that he should pray for her.
“He insisted on a hug and tried to kiss me. I said no I can’t do this, you’re married. And he said ‘don’t worry about that’. He then touched me here [forehead] and I manifested,” she told the channel.
According the woman, efforts to stop the prophet from harassing her proved futile as he (Bushiri) managed to take off her clothes and raped her.
The second victim was allegedly asked by the self-proclaimed prophet “to study the bible” at a hotel. She claimed to have found him naked when she got there.
“He asked me to take off my clothes and then told me to turn around. I was shaking and scared. I didn’t know what to do. After that he came on to me and everything happened.”
However, Bushiri has been refuting the allegations saying that the said women coming forth to testify against him, connived with the law enforcement officials from the Hawks whom he has a case against. He added that the women started making the allegations after Bushiri refused to give money to the Hawks and later promised him to see hell.
“This has been done together with members of the media. This woman comes and demands money from us. The supposed victims come and demand money from us. The shameless journalists also demand money from us.
Speaking to one of the media houses in South Africa, the women said they are afraid if justice they have been fight for will be served considering that Bushiri is no longer in the country.
The fact that Bushiri had skipped the country, one of women said they are living in fear because they have no idea of what will happen next.
Meanwhile, South African Authorities have issued fresh warrants of arrest for the self-styled man of God on rape allegations placed by the three women as they are working of extradition process to have the prophet back in the Rainbow Nation where he is answering charges of fraud and money laundering.
Bushiri, has been claiming that he will not have a fair trial in South Africa considering that the same police officers who are handling his case are the ones he filed a complaint against on corruption cases.
