Minister of Agriculture Loben Lowe says that some retailers are using network glitches as scapegoat when they don’t have supplies in the selling points.

Lowe told journalists on the progress of implementation of AIP in Lilongwe.

” Beneficiaries of AIP should not panic as the country has over 60 percent of inputs,” Lowe said.

Over 4 million local farmers are expected to buy the inputs at subsidised prices of nearly K5000 per 50 kg bag of fertilizer to reduce hunger which annually afflicts many citizens.

But AIP has been hit by technical problems involving the ID system.
