Malawian Airlines workers have called off the strike which started on Thursday morning over deductions to their November salaries.

The workers mainly airline crew and staff on Thursday stormed the company’s head office in Lilongwe demanding answers from the management on the matter.

After a lengthy discussion on the matter, the workers and management agreed on one thing thereby calling off the strike.

Acting Director for Aviation in the Ministry of Transport James Chakwera has told the press that a resolution has been made on their grievances, leading to resumption of work.

Chakwera has since charted Malawian airline plane to Botswana for SADC summit.
