Police in Kasungu have arrested a man identified as Matias Chimkonda for allegedly possessing thirty three bags of fertilizer suspected to have been obtained unlawfully.
He was arrested when police officers were discharging their duties at Bua roadblock when they intercept a truck in which the bags were hidden.
The bags had CAN, NPK and Urea fertilizer.
After being interrogated, the suspect failed to produce valid documents something that prompted police to arrest him.
Kasungu Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Miracle Mkozi, says Chimkonda will appear before court soon to answer a charge of being found in possession of property suspected to have been unlawfully obtained .
