Bodyguard of former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Norman Chisale has accused supporters of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) of sidelining him in a fake certificate case.
Chisale said this outside the court when he bumped into DPP supporters who are at the Lilongwe Magistrate Court waiting for the commencement of the case involving former Minister of Information Henry Mussa.
This was after supporters started chanting songs of praise upon seeing Chisale moving out of the court following the adjournment of the case.
Chisale publicly told the supporters that they should not pretend to be behind him in the case. He said the supporters are at the court to support Henry Mussa, former Information Minister whose case is also being heard at the court today.
Chisale is being accused of impersonating a person named in a certificate and giving false information to a person employed in the public office.
