The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday nabbed Suraj Godambe with cocaine. He is HOD, make-up department, with a leading Bollywood production house. NCB Mumbai has been carrying out raids and nabbing drug users and distributors in the state.

Godambe is well known for his work on popular Bollywood movies like 3 Idiots (2009), Fearless (2010) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015).

The Narcotics Control Bureau had on Wednesday arrested one of the biggest drug dealers in Mumbai, Azam Sheikh Jumman, after carrying out raids at this Milat Nagar residence in Lokhandwala, Mumbai. An estimated total of 5 kilograms of hashish and Rs 14 lakh cash were recovered from his residence.

It is being speculated that the arrest of Jumman is going to lead to a bigger network of drug peddlers and users spread across the country.

Godambe will be produced before a court today along with Jumman.

Moreover, another drug peddler, Regel Mahakal, whose name is linked to the drug case of Sushant Singh Rajput, was sent to two-day custody of the NCB on Wednesday. The NCB had initiated a probe into the alleged drug angle in the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput who was found hanging in his house on June 14.

The NCB probe comes on the heels of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe in the money-laundering charges in the Sushant Singh Rajput case where some social media chats of the accused surfaced that hinted at the use of drugs.
