High level talks are underway on the possibility for Malawi to secure the Coronavirus vaccine.

This is according to the Presidential Taskforce on the Covid-19 pandemic.

Many countries are preparing to secure the vaccine which has already been approved in the United States of America and the UK.

Locally, the public is eager to know the modalities of having the vaccine which is reported to provide 95 percent protection to Covid 19.

John Phuka who is the Co-chairperson of the Covid 19 Taskforce reveals that the Government of Malawi is talking to its international stakeholders COVAX on the availability of the vaccine, including the cost attached to it.

Phuka also believes not all Malawians will be vaccinated as others may decide to shun it due to various reasons.
