Shock and grief engulfed Kebeneti village in Kenya after three sons murdered their 60-year-old father over a domestic dispute.

Liloch location Chief Joshua Tonui confirmed the incident saying the sons identified as Bernard Korir (40), Joshua Korir (20) and Ezra Korir (15) killed their father, James Langat by attacking him with crude weapons.

Tonui said the father and the sons had differed over the management of their coffee farm and proceeds.

He said the sons confronted their father and in the process a fight ensued where the sons descended on the deceased, beating and hitting him with stones, killing him instantly.

The mother to the three sons raised an alarm, attracting other villagers who rushed to the scene to answer her distress calls. They attempted to rescue the deceased but he had already died.

The incident was reported at Kipkelion Police Station where police officers rushed to the scene and took the body to Kericho Sub-county Hospital mortuary.

After committing the heinous act, the sons attempted to flee but were later cornered, arrested and taken to Kipkelion Police Station where they are held while awaiting to be arraigned.
