Six Health Workers And Security Guard Arrested For Stealing ART Drugs In Likoma

Police in Likoma arrested and released on bail six health workers and a security guard for allegedly stealing the antiretroviral drugs (ART)
Over 3,700 ART drugs are missing at St.Peters Mission Hospital in Likoma Island.
District Health Officer (DHO) for Likoma Dr. Gracewell Mathewe suspects health workers responsible for the ART clinic to have pilfered the drugs which were donated by the Global Fund to the government.
Meanwhile, law enforcers have refused to give details of the suspects saying they are still investigating the matter.
