Police have launched a manhunt for suspects who have been attacking priests who are allegedly against the leadership of Bishop Brighton Malasa of the Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire.

Eastern Region Police Spokesperson Inspector Joseph Sauka confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Sauka, the law enforcers have complaints from the following of Balaka, Machinga and Mangochi in relation to such attacks.

Bishop Malasa is facing resistance from majority of the priests and church members who are accusing him of corruption and mismanagement of funds.
