ZIMBABWE – Two sisters appeared in court over the weekend charged with murder after they reportedly assaulted a husband to one of them to death in a domestic dispute.

The two Sharon, 33, and Nyasha Kudangirana were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare magistrate Judith Taruvinga and they were remanded in custody to December 29.

The now-deceased is Moreblessing Maka, 30, and he was Sharon’s husband.

Allegations are that Maka and his wife had a misunderstanding which erupted into a heated argument and resulted in a fight between the two.

The court heard that Nyasha and Clear Kudangirana who is currently reported to be on the run joined in the fight in support of their sibling who then picked up a hoe handle and struck him two times with it on the head as they had overpowered him.

A neighbour reportedly intervened as they had overpowered him.

A neighbour reportedly intervened and restrained the three from further assaulting Maka who then went to his parents’ house but his condition began to deteriorate and later passed on upon admission at Parirenyatwa Hospital.
