The new measures introduced by government with an aim of controlling the spread of coronavirus pandemic will not affect Airports in the country, faceofmalawi can reveal.

On Tuesday the Presidential taskforce announced the new measures to control the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak where the taskforce ordered for the closure of all borders.

The taskforce revised the maximum number in public number to maximum of 100 people for the next two weeks.

But the taskforce said the new measures will not affect airports, saying airports will remain open because it is easier to track people who come through the airports than land borders.

Only Malawians will be allowed into the country as they are coming back to the country.
