The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) has announced that the temporary load shedding that were effected following the shut down of Nkula B are now over.
A week ago, the power supply company informed the general public that about 100MW have been lost at Nkula B Power Station after a pipe burst making it hard for the corporation to produce the required electricity, hence the effect of load shedding.
In a statement seen by this publication, ESCOM has said it is now getting enough power to supply electricity to its customers based on the current demand.
ESCOM has further thanked its customers for understanding during the load shedding period.
