The Tonse Alliance government of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is yet to appoint new Director General of the Anti-Corruption Buraue (ACB) to replace Reyneck Matemba who has refused to sign new contract.
Former President Arthur Peter Mutharika promoted Matemba to the position of Director General of ACB after the retirement of Lucas Kondowe.
Matemba’s contract according to information at hand expired on December 2, 2020 and is currently on a month to month contract.
He is set to return to the Ministry of Justice since he was appointed on the post on secondment.
Matemba was being accused of being a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) youth cadets by the Tonse Alliance supporters.
