Ward Councilor for Matundu Ward in Nsanje South constituency Robert Chabvi is today expected to appear before the Nsanje First Grade Magistrate Court to be formally charged.

Nsanje Police Spokesperson Agnes Zalakoma confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Zalakoma, Chabvi was arrested for allegedly beating to death his herdsman after he reportedly failed to account for flock.

Zalakoma also said the lower court will commit the case to High Court at the hearing today.
