займ на карту круглосуточно Police in Mzuzu are keeping in custody a 46 year old Mzuzu University (Mzuni) lecturer James Gondwe for raping 20 year old housemaid.
Mzuzu Police Spokesperson, Paul Tembo Confirmed of the development saying that Gondwe committed the offence on December 30, 2020.
It is reported that Gondwe had first proposed a sexual relationship with the girl of which she refused.
Gondwe then took an advantage of the maid when other family members left for the holidays.
It is alleged that Gondwe followed the maid in the boys’ quarter and raped her.
The incident came into limelight on January 3, 2021 when the girl reported the matter to police which resulted into effecting the arrest of Gondwe.
After examination from the hospital, results revealed that the maid was indeed raped after being referred to Mzuzu hospital.
Meanwhile, Gondwe is in police custody where he is expected to appear in court soon.
Gondwe is a senior in the development of Geography and Earth Science, he hails from Chitanga Village in the Traditional Authority Chikulamayembe in Rumphi, while the victim is from Mponela Dowa.
