Parties in the ruling Tonse Alliance are more United now than ever, Presidential Advisor on Political parties Ephraim Chivunde said.
He said this when he met members of political parties in Tonse Alliance in Mzuzu yesterday.
Members of political parties in Tonse Alliance converged at Nyachenda Motel in Mzuzu where they discussed matters affecting members in the Alliance.
During the meeting, members raised their concerns and requests to government as a way of contributing towards the implementation of the Tonse Alliance agenda.
Chivunde promised the members to deliver all their petitions and convey a message of good will to the President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice Saulos Chilima.
The Presidential advisor has since urged all those with issues with the government to raise them without any delay as the Chakwera-Chilima administration is very listening.
“If anyone is not happy with anything, let them consult the President or his Vice, the door is open,” said Chivunde.
Albert Mbawala MCP Treasurer General who also attended the meeting said the party believes in unity among members of the Tonse Alliance and respect for leaders.
He said the Chakwera-Chilima partnership is a blessing for the country and that the two leaders have demonstrated high level quality leadership.
Speaking on loans, the director of women in MCP Nyachenda urged the advisor to request government officials to soften loan conditions to allow more people especially women doing business.
She also requested NEEF to work on the age limit for those qualified for the loans saying that 35 years is on a very lower side.
Director of Youth in UTM called upon Malawians especially members of political parties in Tonse Alliance, the vulnerable and women to exercise patience and support government to achieve its goals.
Director of Youth in PP Oscar Chisi bemoaned the social media frenzy and spreading of false news that is likely to cause unnecessary panic within citizens of the country.
He called upon co-existence among members of political parties in a quest to advance the government agenda.
He denounced the propaganda by the opposition saying it is causing unwarranted tense the country.
Goodwin Mvula, MCP regional chairman for the north, requested government to consider working on the AIP program so that it benefits each and every citizen.
He also suggested a meeting between all members of political parties and their presidents to celebrate the victory.
