Conspiracy theory proponents in Italy have been sharing an electronic schematic of a ‘5G chip’ allegedly implanted in Covid-9 vaccines, but evidence has shown that it’s actually the schematic of a guitar pedal.
A wise person once said “don’t believe everything you read on the internet”, and that’s never been more true than it is today. With the advent of social media, wild conspiracy theories, half-truths and fake news have been getting more attention than ever before. Take this ‘5G chip in Covid-19 vaccines’ phobia that has taken on a life of its own online, despite any sort of scientific evidence backing it up. Well, at least no real evidence, because there is plenty of fake proof going around, including a rather complex schematic of a so-called 5G chip allegedly implanted in Covid-19 vaccines. Only that schematic is actually of a badass guitar pedal…
Although the schematic looked complex to the untrained eye, and featured markings like “5G FREQ.”, it also had less ominous ones like “BASS”, “TREBBLE” or “VOLUME”, which didn’t really fit the description of this diabolical device. That’s because, as Fusco revealed, the schematic vas actually for the Boss Metal Zone MT-2 guitar pedal, a harmless device commonly used by guitarists to add effects and distortion to electric audio signals.
“Here in Italy people started to share this figure claiming that this is the diagram of the 5G chip that has been inserted in the COVID vaccine,” Mario Fusco wrote. “In reality it is the electric circuit of a guitar pedal and I believe that putting it in the COVID vaccine has been an excellent idea.”
An analysis of the ominous diagram by MusicTech magazine revealed that whoever altered the diagram of the electrical pedal added the reference to 5G frequency, but didn’t even go through the trouble of removing the musical terminology in the original diagram. That’s just lazy, get it together, conspiracy theorists!

It’s unclear how this ‘5G chip in vaccines’ thing started, but it has clearly been very popular among conspiracy theorists during the pandemic and I doubt that the debunking of this particular schematic is going to change many people’s minds, unfortunately.
