Reports have it that the incident happened in Arue-Uromi, Esan-North East Local Government Area of the state.

Eyewitnesses at the scene revealed that four girls and two boys said to be siblings, who were playing football were crushed when the driver made an attempt to dodge a pothole and swerved to the spot where the kids were playing.

Following the tragic incident which provoked anger of the residents of the community, the road was immediately blocked and the Mercedes Benz was burnt.

Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Henry Benamaisia, confirmed the incident.
