Police Arrest 64 For Not Following Covid-19 Preventive Measures in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe has confirmed arrests of 64 people on various offences bordering around non-compliance of Covid-19 preventive measures.
The suspects were arrested Wednesday and Tuesday night in various places in town.
During the operation, the law enforcers found some suspects without masks and others operating bars outside the permitted hours.
The 64 are expected to appear before court to answer respective charges levelled against them.
The arrests follows government’s directive to the Homeland Ministry to ensure that each and person is following the newly gazzetted Covid-19 guidelines.
