Police in Kasungu have arrested kasungu Culture Club Manager, Kasewe Sandram and five customers for failing to comply with Covid-19 measures.
The suspects were arrested on Thursday at around 01:00 hrs at Kasungu Culture Club.
The Police Commissioner for the region Mr Happy Mkandawire on the night of January 20, 2021had a snap survey around 11:00 hours within Kasungu township where he reached the drinking joint in question pretending to be a customer and this is the time he discovered that people were still drinking inside the club despite the Convid 19 regulations not permitting.
A follow up was made by police officers and the six suspects were arrested.
The suspects will appear in court to answer charges of failing to comply with Covid 19 preventive measures.
Meanwhile, Police in the district are warning the public against noncompliance to Covid 19 regulations.
