27 year old man is under police custody in Dowa for killing his 24 year old brother over green roasted maize.
Dowa police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha confirmed of the development.
According to M’bumpha, the incident took place at a drinking joint and identifying the suspect as Wilson Yeremiya.
M’bumpha added that Yeremiya stabbed Hamiteni in the ribs after the victim refused to buy roasted green maize.
M’bumpha says this resulted in a fatal fight.
The two are from Bimphi village in the area of Traditional Authority Chiwere in Dowa district.
