Magistrate Court in Kasungu has release on bail an 11 year old girl who allegedly killed her 12 year old friend.
According to reports, the two had a misunderstanding which led the suspect to assault the victim on January 15, 2021.
Legal Aid Bureau Public Relations Officer Sella Chiuye said the Magistrate Court granted bail to the minor because the police failed to adhere to the 48 hour rule on formal charging of suspects.
This prompted Legal Aid Bureau to apply for her release hence the court granting her bail.
Meanwhile, further proceedings of the case will continue in due course.
