As one way of complementing government’s effort in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the Malawi Bureau of Standards has donated oxygen medical cylinders and surgical masks to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.

The donation comes days after the Blantyre District Health Office revealed that the office was running out of protective materials including body bags.

According to Dr Levis Eneya, who represented the MBS Board, said the assorted items cost them 3 million in total.

And on his part Gift Kawalazira, Blantyre District Health Officer said the initiative will go a long way in supporting workers at the facility.
