One of the leading mobile operators in the country, Airtel Malawi has donated Mk100 million toward the fight against COVID-19 pandemic which has claimed over 700 people.

Airtel Malawi Managing Director Charles Kamoto disclosed this in a statement released on February 1, 2021 made available to faceofmalawi.

“Today we have announced our additional support of K100 Million to help in the fight against Covid-19. This donation will go towards the purchase of test kits, PPE’s for frontline health workers, and oxygen concentrators. Combined with last year’s support, Airtel’s total contribution to the Covid-19 fight has now reached K204 million. Please continue to protect yourselves and each other,” said Kamoto in the statement.
