Association of Women in Media (AWOME) have donated assorted food stuffs to frontline healthcare workers attending to COVID-19 patients at Mzuzu Central Hospital.
AWOME representative, Angella Mkandawire, said the donation which included sugar, squash margarine and milk, was made in recognition of the life sacrifice risk the health care workers make in caring for COVID-19 patients.
“The world is at war against Coronavirus and Malawi is not spared. We have frontline healthworkers who are working 24 hours caring for the patients and we feel this is a huge sacrifice,” said Mkandawire.
