President Lazarus Chakwera has delegated vice President Saulos Chilima to form a Taskforce to review tackling corruption, wastage in government through culture of corruption and poor administration.
Chakwera made the delegation yesterday during his weekly Covid-19 update at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.
Chakwera’s move is a direct response to the alleged mismanagement of Covid-19 funds which has caught public attention.
In May last year, the Reserve Bank released 6.2 billion kwacha to help in the fight against the global pandemic.
Chakwera also delegated Chilima to lead review of the three systems and submit recommendations to the President in three months’ time.
