Well known comedian Nya-uyu, real name Felistus Nya-uyu Ngwira of Vilekeke Republic has said she is yet to receive a car she asked from State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.
Chilima on Friday last week celebrated his 48th birthday in silence due to COVID-19 pandemic which has claimed over 900 people in the country and many people including President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera sent Chilima goodwill messages.
But Nya-uyu Ngwira asked Chilima to consider her by giving her a vehicle.
“Happy birthday Saulos Klaus Chilima the vice President of Malawi, I am just here to tell you that I don’t have a car, not even ka better than walking.
“I am not asking you for a car but if your heart feels like blessing me with a car branded “Nyauyu amaganiza bho heve” then follow your heart and do it don’t ignore it!,” wrote Ngwira on her official facebook page.
The post attracted the attention of many Malawians and some have since followed up the issue to find out if Nya-uyu has received the car from Chilima but it has transpired that she is yet to get a response.
Nya-uyu Ngwira confirmed of the development in another post on her official facebook page.
“Several people have been asking me if the vice president; Saulos Klaus Chilima has said anything after my post about the car.I am here to tell you that I am also waiting patiently, nanga abale is this too much to ask for? A Gray honda freed with 7 seats
“Thank you citizens of the Republic of vilekeke for I know God can use you too to do the needful. I am keeping my tears for the day I will be surprised eeee ndizalira,” said Ngwira.
Effort to talk to Chilima’s press officer Pililani Phiri proved futile.
