A 17-year-old student from The Polytechnic testified at the Magistrates Court in Blantyre on Wednesday against a police officer, Andrew Chagaga, who allegedly raped her twice.
This occurred during late hours of December 12 and the early hours of December 13 2020 while in police custody.
During court proceedings, she alleged that the accused raped her after she had been arrested for being found walking late at night despite being released the next day with no charge.
She also claims she was on her way to a night of prayer when she was arrested.
