Police have dispersed concerned teachers who gathered at Lilongwe Community Centre ground in preparation for a demonstration.
The law enforcers argue that the teachers did not seek permission to hold demonstrations.
The teachers are demanding government to give them a Covid-19 risk allowance.
The one way Banja la Mtsogolo- Simama road to Lilongwe depot has since been closed by security personnel.
The teachers are pushing for COVID-19 risk allowances ahead of school re-opening on Monday, February 22, 2021.
