President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will appear in Parliament on March 10, 2021 to answer questions from lawmakers.

Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara made the announcement today when Parliament reconvened for the Midyear budget review in the capital Lilongwe.

This will be the third time for Chakwera to appear in Parliament since he ascended to the High Office on June 23, 2020 through a court sanctioned fresh Presidential polls.

Parliament was set to resume for the midyear budget review on February 8, 2021 but it was postponed to today February 22, 2021 due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.

This was to allow MPs to monitor the situation in the country.

So far COVID-19 has claimed lives of over 1000 Malawians including Cabinet Ministers and MPs.
