The High Court in Lilongwe on Sunday blocked the law enforcers from arresting Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) and his wife Mary.

Information sourced by this publication indicates that over 30 police officers on Sunday stormed Bushiri house in the capital Lilongwe.

Bushiri’s lawyer confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the law enforcers were hunting for Bushiri in line with the extradition case.

The lawyer said this forced him to rush to court to obtain court injunction on the matter which was granted.

The court has also granted a judicial review on the matter to be heard on March 8th 2021.

Bushri and his wife Mary are wanted in South Africa where they are answering and fraud and Money laundering cases.

The two escaped from South Africa last year.
