A 21-year-old maid from Bulawayo has been arrested after allegations emerged that she was sexually abusing her employer’s 10-year-old son.

Faceofmalawi established from a police report published in the Daily News that the domestic worker who cannot be named to protect the identity of the minor, sexually harassed the boy at their Bradfield residency on the 20th of February this year.

Police national spokesperson Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident saying:

Police received a case of aggravated indecent assault which occurred on February 20 in Bradfield where a male juvenile, 10, was sexually abused by a housemaid.

Inspector Nyathi warned members of the public and parents not to leave children in the custody of persons they do not trust.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police encourages parents to always monitor their children whilst playing and avoid leaving them with irresponsible persons as they might end up being abused, he said.
