Health Minister Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda yesterday told parliament that cabinet Ministers in the Presidential taskforce Committee do not draw any allowances when the Committe meets.
This is contrary to what leader of opposition Kondwani Nakhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) told members of the press few weeks ago in the capital Lilongwe.
Nankhumwa openly said that Members of the Presidential Task Force draw allowances for every meeting but could not disclose how much each member pockets everyday.
But during presentation of Ministerial statement on Wednesday, Chiponda trashed the claims.
She said no cabinet minister do receive allowances when they attend a taskforce meeting because they already have benefits for being ministers.
Chiponda then challenged Malawians to investigate the issue and said that if found that they receive allowances she will resign.
