The High Court in Blantyre has dismissed the State’s application to have Norman Chisale’s bail revoked.

Chisale, the former presidential aide to former head of state Peter Mutharika is answering charges of attempted murder which he committed in Chimwankhunda, Blantyre.

The state, prayed to court that Chisale’s bail should be revoked n the allegations that he was interfering with witnesses by contacting them.

In his ruling, Judge Sylvester Kalembera said the state managed to establish that there was contact between Chisale and the witness but failed to prove who contacted who.

Judge Kalembera has however, faulted the state that it has failed to prove on who contacted who. Meaning it might be the witnesses who contacted Chisale or the other way round.

Kalembera then advised the state to proceed with bringing the remaining witnesses to conclude hearing.
