The Mangochi Police Station has called on road users,to strictly observe road safety measures, as one way of avoiding road accidents in the district.
The call has been made, in an interview today with Sub Inspector Amina Tepani Daudi, who is also the Deputy Public Relations for Mangochi Police Station.
“We’re appealing to the road users, to always adhere road safety measures, to avoid accidents in the district; said Daudi.
Mangochi Deputy PRO, then said that the increase in road accidents in the district is as,a result of negligence on the given traffic regulations.
Meanwhile,according to Sub Inspector Daudi,Traffic Officers are doing intesive traffic check, in accident prone areas, so that the situation is addressed.
” Our Traffic Officers are doing intesive traffic check day and night, in the accident prone areas, to reduce those accidents; uttered Daudi.
In his words,representative of Group Village Headman(GVH) Makawa, Abdul Razack Nice,applauded and commended police for coming up with the initiative in his area and pledged to support the wardens.
This month alone,Mangochi district has registered at least four accidents.These accidents have left other people dead while others sustaining serious injuries.
