The High Court in Blantyre has set 16th April 2021 as a date to rule on whether or not Norman Chisale has a case to answer.
Chisale, the former presidential aide to former president Peter Mutharika is being accused of attempting to murder a woman Sigele Amani from Chimwankhunda Township in Blantyre.
He is also being accused of reckless shooting.
Pilirani Masanjala Senior state advocate said the state will submit to the court on Wednesday that Chisale has a case to answer.
Meanwhile, Chancy Gondwe, lawyer for Chisale has said the defense will submit that the state has failed to establish a case to answer against Chisale.
Yesterday, the court threw away an application by the state to have Chisale’s bail revoked on the allegations that he was interfering with witness.
