Police in Dedza, yesterday fired teargas at angry students from Umbwi secondary School who were protesting over what they demeaned poor management.
According to reports, the students were not happy with the meal they were being given by the school and attempts to address the issue to the school management proved futile.
According to the information at hand, the students sent the school’s head boy to hold talks with the management, he got suspended a development which angered the students.
The student then went on rampage and started vandalizing school property.
The development attracted police attention which resulted into firing teargas to calm the situation which was successful.
Meanwhile, the school management is yet to comment .
