As dust is refusing to settle in the then ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Dalitso Kabambe, one of the presidential aspirants has called for unity.

Kabambe, former Reserve Bank Governor said this yesterday in Nsanje during a campaign rally for Francis Kasaila who is contesting for the parliamentary seat slated for March 30, 2021.

Aftermath of the June 23 fresh presidential elections in which DPP was ousted out of power, the party has been facing leadership challenges as some are demanding the resignation of the party president, former president Peter Mutharika.

DPP’s vice president for the south Kondwani Nankhumwa and Joseph Mwananvekha are also on the campaign trail hunting for votes for the forthcoming party’s convention.

Meanwhile, there are disagreements in the party as all party’s within have ganged up against each other.
