In Zimbabwe, a 60-year-old man in the capital Harare reportedly fired several shots at his neighbor’s gardener accusing him of testifying against him in court.
Ronias Mutaki appeared before Harare magistrate Richard Mangosi facing attempted murder charges.
He was remanded in custody to tomorrow for bail application.
Allegations are that on the 12th of March, Mutaki approached the complainant who was outside his gate at house number 963 Sorell Close, Strathaven in Avondale, Harare.
According to court papers, Mutaki allegedly threatened to kill the complainant accusing him of once testifying against him in a case of assault sometime in 2018.
It is the State’s case that Mutaki went back to his house and took his pellet gun which he fired several times towards the complainant who managed to flee.
In other news from Zimbabwe, local publication iHarare had reported that a daring tenant has been dragged to court after she reportedly stole her elderly landlord’s land and built a seven-roomed house without his knowledge.
The suspect, Jane Chitsumba age 50, is alleged to have forged Cuthbert Makuvaza, 63 signature to authorize her to build her house on his land.
Chitsumba pleaded not guilty when she appeared before Harare magistrate Yeukai Chigodora on Friday last week.
