Former Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Reyneck Matemba has received AstraZeneca Covid vaccine at Capitol Hill in the capital Lilongwe.
Matemba is now serving as Solicitor general after his contract expired at ACB in December last year.
Deputy Secretary for President and Cabinet, Janet Banda, led civil servants and retired civil servants in getting the Covid-19 vaccination.
In her remarks, Banda urged all civil servants to get the jabs.
She also encouraged them to continue adhering to preventive measures even after the vaccination.
Apart from from, Matemba, Chairperson of Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) Gift Trapence has also received the jab.
So far over 1,000 Malawians have died of COVID-19 including two Cabinet Ministers in the Tonse Alliance led by Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
